Excel Manufacturer´s Process - Excel uses only glass bottles which are sterilized before each filling in a bottling tadition that is over one hundred years old. Soft drinnks are made in two stages - Syrup is produced first and then it is blended with carbonated water to make the final product.
Syrup - Flavor concentrates are selected from different ìextract houses.î We have always felt that each company has certain flavors that are tops, so we have ìshopped aroundî over the years. We also blend and mix flavors in unique ways. For our non diet drinks, we use 100% pure cane sugar for our sweetener. Tartness comes from the fruit acids like citric and malic and flavors are protected with benzoate of soda.
Water - We use a dual filter system which removes any sediment and chloration from the municipal water supply. Carbonation - Each flavor requires a different level of carbonation. Soda is cabonated with CO2 dissolved in water, which provides some additional tartness. The filller gets the soft drink into the bottle and they are immediately capped. Bottles are then placed individually agitated and then placed into wooden cases.
